Great competitive pricing Sandra posted on Sep 22, Love it,so easy Sandra posted on Sep 22, Verified Customer Very poor customer service. I'd purchase a denim shirt and after wearing it a few times the color in the collar turned yellow this is my only shirt that ever had this problem. I took it to the store in Emporium Melbourne, the manager just passed me some crap like the tag on the product had mentioned that the color would fade because of its nature which was total crap because this was not a fade in color, it was more like rubbish.
Anyway, I emailed the customer service online and they said that their global head office couldn't accept it because of the same reason. I was just so shocked by this type of getting away from their responsibilities. I sent them another email and expressed my deep dissatisfaction and "no response" came back!!!
I bought 2 pairs of black socks as a single item, but one pair received holes from wearing only a few times. The other pair which were worn alternate days are still going strong. I returned to store but was not able to receive another pair Excellent value for money.
Everything purchased online and received exactly what I ordered in a timely manner. Items are washing very well with no colour fade.
Extremely comfortable and wear these items all through winter. Sleeveless tops are worn through summer as well. I have no hesitation in vouching for these go to clothes. I made a purchase for a friend and the size was too small. Took it back to the store the next day with the receipt and was made to step through hoops. I was happy to just exchange but as they did not have the stock they refused to refund. I had to quote consumer law at them to get them to budge 30 minutes later.
Wasted lunch break and terrible customer service. They've lost a good and consistent customer, and one who has no problem sharing her bad experience.
So literally I was stuck with what I was given. I bought the heat tech tops for myself and children and they are so good but the service was amazing, each order arrived within 2 days, really great service. Verified Customer very light , good fit, stylish but not warm enough and quality is not good enough. The positive side is: It's very light and can be packed into it's small sac. It's great for travel. It fits me well and very stylish without being too bulky.
Now the down side: It's not as warm as what I had expected. I have a reversible jacket, which has one side with fleece and the other side is nylon, for my winter days in Sydney for almost 20 years. When this winter started I wanted something warmer so I bought the down jacket last week. This ultra thin down jacket is a alternative for a sweater or single layer fleece jacket but not really for winter even in Sydney where we hardly gets below 5 degree. To be fair, I guess all the ultra thin down jackets cross all brands have this same problem that are not warm enough.
People just need to be aware of this The other problem is the feather leaks. I bought a women's ultra thin down jacket for my daughter on the same day. Purchased online, having measured carefully. Opened press seal package and removed item to find it much too large.
Carefully repackaged and paid to return it only to be contacted by email and told return unacceptable as packaging had been opened. Not sure how size could be checked without opening so have lost my money. I've bought from the physical shop and been delighted with quality and fit. T shirts, Heat Tech and a merino jumper. I'm now eagerly awaiting my first online order. I'll buy at Uniglo before I go to local shops in rural NSW because of the too quality and reasonable price.
Great customer service too. I received excellent service from uniqlo Parramatta on a Thursday afternoon, both from fitting room staff and cashier. I was offered a basket as I browsed through the store and couldn't reach a jumper from the top shelf and an assistant immediately came over and assisted me in getting it down and finding my size when he saw me reaching up to the top shelf. Customer service at the cashier from Jonathan was thorough, friendly, and professional. Couldn't have asked for more high quality service.
Thank you Uniqlo Parramatta! Shopped at Chadstone Uniqlo. Customer service was cool. Store assistant checked in back storage for 10 minutes and brought the ones I wanted as they ran out of shelf. And I was offered shopping bag when someone saw me carrying multiple long and chunky items. I don't know other stores, but Chadstone one seems fine, just wish could try more than 6 items at a time and more fitting rooms to entertain long queue.
So far so good I love their heat-tech tops, works very well and lasts for ages. I tried the heat-tech stockings though But alas, they don't. I am going back to Big W for my stockings. I also own some airism tops and they also worked quite well. The jeans don't fit that well with me, I own a pair of straight jeans which was the only ones that fits well.
I liked most of the stuff I have bought from Uniqlo, they are comfortable and lasts through washes and wear. Verified Customer So far only good experiences with Uniqlo. Not sure why others are having a hard time with Uniqlo online. I've only had positive experiences so far, but will edit my review if that ever changes.
My review is for both the physical stores and the Australian online store. Over all, I have bought from Uniqlo hunderds of times, all over the globe, and I've used the online store 3 times, all with great results.
Shipping was fast, it was free for over 50, and everything was well packaged. I think the products are very good quality for the price. The biggest thing for me, is they often use natural materials in their clothes, and they also list the percentage of cotton on their socks, so I can make an informed decision-- I love this-- I am a stickler about cotton socks, lol.
So many Aussie sock brands are all synthetic, and because of this, I always buy my socks from Uniqlo now. Their shirts are also very good quality, nice and thick, and they often have pop-culture shirts and goods, which are great because I love that kind of thing.
I also really like their winter wear; I personally think it's great for the price-- I think their heat-tech stuff rivals even the expensive stuff at Adventure stores, and I bought their fur lined hoodie for traveling in Japan in winter, and it was perfect and warm-- usually when I buy coats or jackets in Australia the wind cuts through them and they look warmer than they are.
I was pleasantly surprised. The only gripe I have is that Uniqlo Australia is overpriced compared to the some of the global counterparts; the ever popular 'room shoes' or slippers are almost twice the price here than Asia. Also, their clothing doesn't really cater to to bigger people, especially bigger women, which is disappointing.
Bigger men get more options than bigger women. I get it, it's an Asian store the sizes skew small because of it, but it can limit what you buy from them if you are even a bit bigger than average. As for the complaints I read about returns to the online store, I don't get it -- most retailers charge shipping for postal returns, some don't let you even do postal returns which is normal, so don't buy from Uniqlo or any other store if you are worried you may need to return items and don't have a physical store where you live.
I myself use Paypal to pay, so am covered by Paypal's refunded returns, which lets you claim back return postage if you return an item by mail, so I feel blaming Uniqlo for charging for shipping or returns is a bit unfair.
